Just letting go of the crazy hectic everyday is recommended from time to time… I brought my camera, and took some snapshots during the weekend… OK, I admin it; I’m no typical “tourist” photographer. So please go easy on these weird shots… :)

It was great to see how they showed their love and affection to each other, and how their wedding day became a day where everyone attending really felt happy for the couple.

This weekend we were driving past Hornindalsvatn, which is the deepest lake in Europe (514 metres deep). The scenery around the lake is breathtaking. Just wanted to share this one to give you a glimpse of beautiful Norway in winter :)

This photo is taken in the afternoon, and the light from the setting sun is reflected from the mountain tops.

For many of us, the christmas holidays are spent with family and friends gathered around the table, eating (see pics below :) ), chatting, laughing and enjoying each others company. We should keep reminding ourselves that we are blessed having the possibility to have one to two weeks “off” during the year for this celebration.

We have had a lot of friends and family coming over this Christmas. Christmas and food seem to be important elements all together. At least in my family. And amongst my friends. Below are some insights into what has been served to our guest.

Ok, not all of this is traditional norwegian food. But still. It was very tasty :)

This long exposure shot was taken tonight during a “flashligh trip” in the forest with one of my kids :) Had to bring my new Canon 24-70L 2.8 to test… and this is one of the resulting shots. Looking forward to test the 24-70 in “real” lighting conditions soon…

I recently got an assigment as a press photographer, covering the norwegian Princess Märtha Louise visit to Trondheim (as part of an official representation visit by the Princess). She spent time on a school for hearing impaired children, and it was a great experience capturing the event, both personally and phototechnical. Press photography reqires a somewhat different skillset than for a portrait photograper :) Great day!
