For myself, 2011 has been a year that has given me lots of great experiences; several exciting trips with both family and friends, watch and support the kids and my wife in taking new steps in their lives, getting to know a lot of (new and not so new) fabulous people even better, having small dreams come true in my professional career, as well as being able to enjoy the fact that both me and the family that surrounds me all are healthy and safe .

I hope all my friends in both real life and you who visit my little corner here in the internet have a wonderful and blessed Christmas holiday. I wish you all a truly happy new year throughout 2012!

On their wedding day, it was raining cats and dogs, and it didn´t look like we would have a very pleasant wedding photography shoot outdoors. But only 15 minutes before we had agreed to meet, the sky cleared, and we had a great and fun photo session together.

Bjørn and Helle, were are a really relaxed and down to earth kind of couple on your big day. I am glad I got the chance to capture snapshots of you and your beautiful family. All my best wishes for a happy life together! :)

The two girls wanted to have their pictures taken as part of their confirmation celebration. They are best friends, going to school together, and wanted to take both some individual portraits and some shots of them together. The girls very quickly responded to my instructions, and soon they both really made their personality shine through :) I had fun shooting you girls, hope you liked it too :) Below are some shots from the session. As a father I´m privileged and blessed;

The rain were pouring down this early summer day, but that didn’t take the glow of their great day. We started off early with Janicke at the hairdresser, doing the hair and the little details necessary. She was calm during the whole “getting ready session”, and seemed to enjoy it all through the rest of their wedding day :)

After the hairdresser was finished, we went back to their home, where the makeup and the beautiful weddingdress were to be put on.

Janicke really had eyes for the little details to make the day just as perfect as she deserved.

Janicke and her bridesmaid had a really cool and relaxing session during makup and fitting of the weddingdress.

When taking the formal weddingshots, the rain were pouring down, and we had to use our indoor backup location. But it worked out pretty well. Janicke and Arne, you were really fun to photograph!

Just before we were to wrap up the formal photosession, the weather cleared up, and we actually managed to get a few very successful shots outdoors! That really made the day for the photograper! And all honour to Janicke; you beat the freezing cold summer(?!) temperature that we had that day, and made those outdoor snapshots just perfect!

Janicke and Arne, thanks for letting me capture your special day! I had a blast, and it certainly seemed that you were enjoying it as well :)

But they are not my typical “best shots” from 2010. Instead, they are taken in situations where I have been with people I care about and people that inspire me… and these snapshots of course bring out good memories :)

Before starting out the wedding photography journey February last year, I used lots of time preparing myself, both technically and mentally for what I really wanted to do with my photographic skills; capturing the moments for two people on their most important day. Before having a single wedding booked in January 2010, I imagined a certain number of weddings I would photograph during 2010. A number that I actually thought would be way to ambitious. And now, in the beginning of 2011, I can look back and see that I actually managed to reach my overly ambitious goal! But more important; I have met new fabulous people and experienced a lot new things!

Try to write down your own personal goal for 2011, and follow your dream! :)

"Keep the right things in focus!"

I have decided that 2011 for me will be a year where I will be looking forward to new and exciting possibilites, both with my family and at work (both in photography and “my real work”). But I also want to make sure that achievements in 2011 are not only my own “egocentric” goals; I want to share positive happenings in 2011 with my family and my friends, the ones I love.
