For myself, 2011 has been a year that has given me lots of great experiences; several exciting trips with both family and friends, watch and support the kids and my wife in taking new steps in their lives, getting to know a lot of (new and not so new) fabulous people even better, having small dreams come true in my professional career, as well as being able to enjoy the fact that both me and the family that surrounds me all are healthy and safe .

I hope all my friends in both real life and you who visit my little corner here in the internet have a wonderful and blessed Christmas holiday. I wish you all a truly happy new year throughout 2012!

As a father I´m privileged and blessed;

But they are not my typical “best shots” from 2010. Instead, they are taken in situations where I have been with people I care about and people that inspire me… and these snapshots of course bring out good memories :)

"Look towards the end goal"

Before starting out the wedding photography journey February last year, I used lots of time preparing myself, both technically and mentally for what I really wanted to do with my photographic skills; capturing the moments for two people on their most important day. Before having a single wedding booked in January 2010, I imagined a certain number of weddings I would photograph during 2010. A number that I actually thought would be way to ambitious. And now, in the beginning of 2011, I can look back and see that I actually managed to reach my overly ambitious goal! But more important; I have met new fabulous people and experienced a lot new things!

Try to write down your own personal goal for 2011, and follow your dream! :)

"Keep the right things in focus!"

I have decided that 2011 for me will be a year where I will be looking forward to new and exciting possibilites, both with my family and at work (both in photography and “my real work”). But I also want to make sure that achievements in 2011 are not only my own “egocentric” goals; I want to share positive happenings in 2011 with my family and my friends, the ones I love.

The summer started really fun with photographing the wedding of Arne and Janicke, which were previewed on my blog earlier this summer. The full post of their wedding is also underway.

After the great start,  I have enjoyed some really relaxing days with my family, travelling around, meeting lots of great friends I haven’t met for a long time. I have simply had a great summer holiday! I have also taken a lot of pictures… I will upload some more in the weeks to follow :)

Just letting go of the crazy hectic everyday is recommended from time to time… I brought my camera, and took some snapshots during the weekend… OK, I admin it; I’m no typical “tourist” photographer. Inside the house, outside, all over. I saw one of these bouquets he loves last time I visited, and got the inspiration to take this dreamy little shot. I simply took the bouquet outside to get proper lighting, and … voilà…. When getting real close, nothing can compare with the beauty of flowers.

This little ballerina had her first performance together with the rest of the girls in her dance group in front of more than 800 spectators in Olavshallen this weekend … it was a amazing experience, both for the little one and her parents! And being allowed to wear make-up seemed to make her day :)
