Don’t ever forget me…

forglemmegei-3

Sometimes, a photo just “happens”… and for one or many reasons you just fall in love with it… To me, this one is such a photo.

For about 17-18 years ago, I ran around with my fathers analogue Minolta camera, spending a fortune on taking crappy dias pictures, trying to learn the magicĀ  relationships between shutter, ISO and f-numbers… Between then and last summer, I for some strange reason only thought of photography as a tool for documenting holidays and family events.

Then, by accident, I borrowed my fathers Canon 20D, along with a macro-lens in august 2008… And this is a photo from that “first day” I actually started my new “photography life”. I love the simplicity, the beauty and the fragility in this photo… and it for some reason brings out a lot of feelings in me when looking at it:-)I think that’s why I keep coming back to this photo, and never get finished with it…

Just wanted to share it with you:-)

PS: In norwegian, the name of the flower means “Never forget me”… and happens to be one of the most beautiful flowers I know:-)

Canon 20D and Canon 60mm 2.8 Macro.

Kirsten - Forget me knots…were my favorite flower for most of my growing up years. They grew wild in enormous patches at one of the houses I lived in. I still love them but haven’t seen them growing anywhere in years. This is a truly beautiful image and I love the Norwegian meaning behind them!March 20, 2009 – 12:42 am

joshi daniel - nice shot and good colors!March 18, 2009 – 12:39 pm

Paul - Great photo! It was meant to be – for you to start taking photos seriously.

In the USA, the flower is called “forget me not”.

Good luck =PaulMarch 16, 2009 – 1:28 am
